Niagara earns 69-64 victory over Canisius

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) — Harlan Obioha scored 16 points as Niagara beat Canisius 69-64 on Tuesday night.

Obioha also had eight rebounds for the Purple Eagles (12-10, 8-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Ahmad Henderson II scored 13 points while shooting 4 for 11 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. Yaw Obeng-Mensah had 11 points and shot 5 of 9 from the field.

The Golden Griffins (8-14, 3-9) were led in scoring by Frank Mitchell, who finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and two steals. Bryce Okpoh added 13 points and six rebounds for Canisius. Youri Fritz also had nine points and three blocks.
