Noard scores 17, Cornell defeats Columbia 98-76

NEW YORK (AP) — (AP) — Cooper Noard scored 17 points as Cornell beat Columbia 98-76 on Saturday.

Noard went 6 of 10 from the field (5 for 9 from 3-point range) for the Big Red (22-6, 11-3 Ivy League). Sean Hansen scored 14 points while finishing 6 of 6 from the floor and added seven rebounds. Nazir Williams had 14 points and went 6 of 11 from the field (2 for 4 from 3-point range).

The Lions (13-14, 4-10) were led in scoring by Zavian McLean, who finished with 17 points and five assists. Blair Thompson added 15 points and seven rebounds for Columbia. Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa also had 15 points, four assists and four steals. The loss was the Lions’ sixth in a row.
